Hi, I am starting part-time nursing clinicals this summer. I really nervous about what I should expect. Any advice on how I can prepare myself for them and get a head start? Also, what are part-time clinicals like? Is it hard to work and do part-time clinicals?
I went to nursing school and worked part time about 17 years ago. Also was a single mom of one. It wasn’t easy. But it has been well worth it.
We got our assignments usually on the weekend and had to study the disease, all medications and nursing interventions to be ready for the instructor to grill us prior to even seeing the patient. I used 5×7 index cards and kept them with me so I could be prepared.
Don’t give up. You can do it. Just study and keep focused on the outcome!
