Nursing schools that offer associate RN degree?

I was wondering if anyone knows of a school just for nursing to get your RN degree in Los Angeles California or around Las Vegas NV. I’ve been looking for schools but I keep finding schools for RN to BSN. Do you have to already have your RN to go into this program? I really just want my associates degree for an RN. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

For an “RN to BSN”, you MUST already be a Registered Nurse.

Here’s a link to the NLN’s list of accredited nursing programs:

Yes, you need to have an RN.

I suggest you research the health care field. Nursing field is all out of jobs..and it’s been this way for quite some time. Additionally, it’s extremely high stress.

    Try becoming a CNA first.

I only know of these ones here in the SF bay area if it helps… De Anza College, Ohlone College, Evergreen College, Mission College, I think Gavilan college, San Mateo College, and there are a few more I can’t think of.

edit: however, most employers do not want associate’s degree nurses, so I would plan on going on for your bachelors after getting your associate’s, that’s what I’m doing because I graduated in June and I can’t find a nursing job- not even at the hospital I have worked at for 14 years

Here’s a nursing school guide for California, but I think it’s like the others said, you have to have RN training first.

    Good luck!
