In this short video, I am going to assume that you are an educated Christian. You have a college degree, and you have been trained to think logically and rationally about the world we live in. For example, you might be:

– An Engineer or Scientist
– A Doctor, Pharmacist or Nurse
– A Teacher
– A Manager or administrator
– A Government employee
– A Business owner
– An Account rep
– An Executive
– A Lawyer
– An Accountant
– A person working in the Financial sector or Human resources
– An Architect or Designer
– A Software developer

In other words, you are a smart person. You know how the world works, and you know how to think critically.

If you are an educated Christian, I would like to talk with you today about an important and interesting question. Have you ever thought about using your college education to think about your faith? Your life and your career demand that you behave and act rationally. Let’s apply your critical thinking skills as we discuss 10 simple questions about your religion.

Here is an example of the kind of thing I am talking about: As a Christian, you believe in the power of prayer. According to a recent poll (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=42061), 3 out of 4 doctors believe that God is performing medical miracles on earth right now. Most Christians believe that God is curing cancers, healing diseases, reversing the effects of poisons and so on.

So here is question #1: Why won’t God heal amputees?

It’s a simple question, isn’t it? We all know that amputated legs do not spontaneously regenerate in response to prayer. Amputees get no miracles from God.

If you are an intelligent person, you have to admit that it’s an interesting question On the one hand, you believe that God answers prayers and performs miracles. On the other hand, you know that God completely ignores amputees when they pray for miracles.

How do you deal with this discrepancy? As an intelligent person, you have to deal with it, because it makes no sense. In order to handle it, notice that you have to create some kind of rationalization. You have to invent an excuse on God’s behalf to explain this strange fact of life. You might say, “well, God must have some kind of special plan for amputees.” So you invent your excuse, whatever it is, and then you stop thinking about it because it is uncomfortable.

Here is another example. As a Christian, you believe that God cares about you and answers your prayers.

So the second question is: Why are there so many starving people in our world?

Look out at our world and notice that millions of children are dying of starvation. It really is horrific. Why would God be worried about you getting a raise, while at the same time ignoring the prayers of these desperate, innocent little children? It really doesn’t make any sense, does it? Why would a loving god do this?

To explain it, you have to come up with some sort of very strange excuse for God. Like, “God wants these children to suffer and die for some divine, mysterious reason.” Then you push it out of your mind because it absolutely does not fit with your view of a loving, caring God.

Third question: Why does God demand the death of so many innocent people in the Bible? Look up these verses:

– Exodus 35:2 – God demands that we kill everyone who works on the Sabbath day.

– Deuteronomy 21:18-21 – God demands that we kill disobedient teenagers.

– Leviticus 20:13 – God demands the death of homosexuals.

– Deuteronomy 22:13-21 – God demands that we kill girls who are not virgins when they marry.

And so on… There are lots of verses like these.

It doesn’t make any sense, does it? Why would a loving God want us to murder our fellow human beings over such trivial matters? Just because you work on the wrong day of the week, you must die? That makes no sense, does it? In fact, if you think about it, you realize that it is insane. So you create some kind of rationalization to explain these verses.

Question #4: Why does the Bible contain so much anti-scientific nonsense? You have a college degree, so you know what I’m talking about. You know how science works. You happily use the products of science every day: your car, your cell phone, your microwave oven, your TV, your computer. These are all products of the scientific process. You know that science is incredibly important to our economy and to our lives.

But there is a problem. As an educated person you know that the Bible contains all sorts of information that is total nonsense from a scientific perspective.

“We’re going to make it though this, Mist, just don’t loose me.” James whispered, his voice still straining.
“I’ll be OK,” I coughed. “Plus, when did you ever worry about someone or express any feelings?”
“I’m not emo.”
I had my cough attack again along with doctors running by my stretcher.
“Just p-promise me that you’ll be OK,” James stammered.
“I wish I had a video camera to take down those words,” I joked, and coughed again. “Yeah, I promise … are you OK?”
“You’re almost dead and you ask me that?” James asked, and then then was stopped outside the double doors by the annoying nurse from last week.
I now understand why many people has died in the ER; it’s so gloomy! White walls, smell of “too-clean”, and faceless doctors trying to save your life. The doctors took out the ten bullets in my body, and, when taking out the eleventh one out, they hit one of my main arteries, and my heart beat started to wear off, and they yelled for the crash cart.
“Charge!” warned Doctor 1.
“Go!” commanded Doctor 2.
My body jolt up lifelessly, and they tried again, knowing in their heads that I wasn’t going to make it.
“Charge!”
“Go!”
Again, my body jolt up, but I was still unconsious.
“Charge!”
“Go!”
It didn’t work. The monitor made the noise Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep meaning that my heartbeat was gone. I died.

The three doctors walked out, and saw James, cleaned up now and changed out of his blood-soak clothes, and gave him the bad news. James took it better than he thought.
“You just couldn’t save her?” he asked, but more talking to himself.
“I’m sorry,” said Doctor 1.

James was on the way back to the headquarters in the SUV Mist owned when his cell rang. He tapped the “answer” button on the screen, and put it up to his hear.
“Hello.” he answered.
“It’s me, Gabriel.”
“What’s up, boss.”
“How is Mist?”
“Gone.”
There was silence at both ends.
“Bring her body to the headquarters ASAP.” ordered Gabriel.
“What?”
“That’s an order. Take the ambulence. Say it’s a government order.”
James was train not to ask any questions, so he hung up, turned around, and hit the gas.

“Hello James, er, and you, sir,” greeted Scott.
“How is the procedure going?” Gabriel asked.
“It’ll take another seven hours, I’m afriad.” answered Scott. “But now, we’re entering in the serum. Are you sure you want to do this?”
“What are the risks?” James asked.
“Either her body rejects the change, and dies, or she develops the new powers smoothly,”
“So she either dies or lives,” James growled.
“Hey, at least you have a chance of her living again!” Scott said back defensively.
James scowled, but just stood there.
Mist was in the middle of the lab, strapped on a bed. All around her were technology and metal, holding things that usually surgeon doctors would hold. What caught James’s eyes was the needle piercing though her flesh, and injecting a purple subsance in her. Mist was now the lab rat.
“This better work,” Gabriel muttered.
“Well, this is a formula that we’ve never tried before. Well, technically not. We just tweaked it a little from James’s injection, since we couldn’t make the exact thing because all was lost.” Scott explained, and started typing in commands.
James was focusing on Mist, not letting anything bad get by his eyes.
“How secure is this?” James asked.
“Procedure? I already told you—” started Scott.
“No, the room.”
“Oh completely. The intruder would have to get throught all those machines to get the Mist!”
“Then how do you get her out? Though those machines?” Gabriel asked.
“No, the machines will got back into the walls or ground and it would be just a normal white room.”
The other two men grumbled a reply, and stood and watched the procedure.

Seven hours later, the procedure was almost done because of a small delay of lunch and dinner. Scott, Gabriel, and James was tapping their feet impatiently for the prodedure to be done.
“Five more minutes …” Scott muttered.
“Finally!” Gabriel exclaimed.
Suddently, Mist’s eyes flashed open. The three men jumped, and backed up against the wall. Mist’s head turned, and surveyed her surroundings, and then saw the three guys.
“Let me out of here!” she yelled loud enough so that the three guys would hear her through the window.

We have a 6 month old and a 3 yr old. He doesn’t play with the children. I go from child to child nursing them. He doesn’t clean the house. He might pick up something once in awhile but laundry, dishes, actual cleaning forget it. He is also enrolled in college getting financial aid. He doesn’t take it seriously. I end up doing 75% of his work. He couldn’t even pass an exam which he was allowed 2 pages of notes for on his own. The test was vital because it means he could get his A/A and GED. It was his only chance in life for something decent but he couldn’t get off of the internet. He blames me or the kids for not passing it, but he has 2 level 80 warcraft characters. Its not us its his lack of devotion to his outside responsibilities. That also brings up sex, which we do not have. He is too busy on his internet to ever pay attention to our relationship. I don’t want him to touch me anyways I detest him.

He has a history of being abusive and violent. When he doesn’t get his way he is impossible to deal with and can turn very ugly. I hate him. I don’t love him because he is a deadbeat and I have no respect for him. I am thinking of tuning up my online business more, and getting him out. He only makes 0 a month, so financially replacing him won’t be difficult. Would I get child support even if he is only having unemployment as an income source?

To top all this off after my daughters birth I was having serious heart issues, and he is just a train wreck. My disabled mother watches and helps with my children more than he ever does.

Are these emotions justified?

I am a music artist just signed by a record label in the UK (England).
I do English and Scottish brogues for commercials and videos as well as character voices for dubbing movies (from English 2 Spanish and viceversa)
I have a T-Shirt brand I made up
I have a BA in Communications and advertising
I have been a TV reporter and sportscaster (Have covered the Superbowl, dude I’ve been to a Superbowl! Check off my bucket list .
I speak English as good as Spanish
I am a published author (albeit in English travel magazines, but published non-the-less)
I’m a rambling Mexican, I have traveled through Europe for months at a time, have driven from New York to Seattle and then to San Diego also for months.
I played football (American Football, not soccer) for 8 years (since junior high to college)
I am a freelance creative copywriter for ad agencies

As you can see I do not fit the first connotation (racist or not) people have set as a paradigm or preconception for Mexicans. But man, due to so many of my “paisanos” being in the US illegally it is so stinkin difficult for those of us who would like a shot at trying our talents there legally to even get a shot.

Those are my creative characteristics, also note worthy is I am skilled in sales techniques and train sales teams on how to be more efficient and effective.

I can travel into and out off the US at will. I have had a a visitor visa all my life and renew it every 10 years. But I am also a law abiding citizen and would never work in the US illegally, so…

Suggestions anyone? Cuz unless you are a doctor/nurse or have engineering phd or what-not you are not even considered. Anyone know of a good alternative? maybe one the Obama administration has instituted?

This occurs at the most unpredictable moments, two in particular that was frightening. As a nurse working the night shift, I thought about him around 3am after I finished charting and BOOM my cell phone vibrated with a text message saying that he is coming to town on a job training.

I was locked out of my apartment one morning around 8am and had to wait in my car until the management office opens up to let me in. I stayed in my car coming from work. I was bored to death and after having a review of my life, I included thoughts of him. Again instantly I got a text message from him saying “hello” which scared me half to death. I was on a 15 hour road trip and our favorite song came out which I sang very loudly and when I stopped for gas and check my phone, I had a miss call from him.

Just now I woke up an hour early as I’m about to go to work. I laid in bed and thought of what life would have been like if we were married. I decided to get up and check my phone that was on silent and I received a video message with two golden hearts with a long song playing in the background. The attached note said “when all else fail, you can count on me”

This is driving me crazy…what does this all mean?
