RNs can either have an ADN or a BSN degree. The national average for an RN in the US is 64,000 per year. In an entry level position an RN with a BSN makes around $2500 to $3500 more per year than an ADN RN, but that is figured into the national average salary of the RN. BSN RNs also are more likely to be moved into supervisory and administrative positions, so BSN RNs make a higher average salary per capita, but salaries in general are not based on the salary, it is the degree which is useful in getting the better paying position.
CRNAs have a national average salary of around $114,000 per year in the US, but the 75th percentile is around $325,000 so there is a wide range.
Sorry, I’m not American, but where I live:
LPN: $26/hr
RN: $26-$36/hr going up to $43
CNA/CA/HCA (Nursing Assistant): $17-$18
BSN: Same as RN typically, but may be in top end of wages and/or higher.
We do not have Nurse Anesthetists here in Canada. You must have an MD for that. We’re a bit more strict when it comes to healthcare than the U.S.
Good luck whatever you choose!
(I live in SK, Canada).
