I have been accepted to an RN program (associates), but the classes are held for seven hours/day, five days/week. I would love to go to nursing school, but I can’t afford to NOT work. Any suggestions on how I can go to school without working? Are there loans or grants (that will pay extra for usual living expenses) for this type of situation?

- What are the steps to becoming a “nurse anesthetist’?
Look into funding opportunities, including loans but also scholarships. Nurses are in such high demand right now that there is actually a lot of money out there to help support people who want to go to nursing school.
Here’s a website with some info about nursing scholarships (and links): http://www.collegescholarships.org/nursi…
And another one (with a search function): http://www.discovernursing.com/nursing-s…
You might also ask at the nursing school and see if they have any financial assistance available. Will they help you with job placement when your program is finished? Good luck!
Yes, and your school should have stafford and pell grants, and once those are maxed, it would be in your best interest to look into alternative loans. It will be worth it. It is very hard to work in nursing school.
