Hi, I Would Like To Know What Is The Difference Between A Rn Nurse And A Lpn Nurse?

RN stands for registered nurse and they are in a higher position than the LPN/LVN (used interchangeably) which stands for liscensed practical/vocational nurse. RN requires more schooling, yet they are paid better than LPN. See the links below!

  1. mnf4ever says:

The difference is that an RN has more supervisory responsibilities and they can administer all IV fluids and medications whereas an LPN/LVN can only administer certain ones.
