Medicine is not a major. If you don't want to be a nurse, don't major in nursing - it's not going to help you become a doctor. Major in anything you want and take the premed classes in bio, chem, physics, math, and English. Biology is a good major, and a popular one among premed students, but really, any major is fine as long as you take premed classes. Nursing is specific job training for a job you're not going to do - don't put it down as your major. And since nursing programs have tight caps, it might actually contribute to your not getting accepted in the first place.
