I advised several nurses that even faily member if they are mean enough can sue them if the results turn out bad,I said certainly strangers will sue because they are asking that advice beased upon the nurses experience and knowledge
Several new off duty nurses heeded my advice to be careful when they offer services off the job or advice. Two of them said that was rediculous What do i know im not a nurse. I said i have a well rounded education. Nurses and other health care professional;s What do you think Can they be sued for advice and services off the job

  1. Carrusel says:

If a nurse come across a road accident on a deserted road and she gives help, which I would imagine most nurses would, then yes, if things didn´t work out right they leave themselves open to being sued. In the context of that advice may be the same

  2. You ask, I answer says:

no. it’s just advice. no one has to take it.

  3. OziGirl_ says:

If they are not working and the person has not seen themin a professional capacity then no. A doctor is the person responsible for starters but if anurse isnot seeing them in a professional capacity at a hospital or centre etc and someone is asking them an opinion off hand, that is all it is, an opinion. They are responsible for seeking medical advice from a qualified source.
